• Provide strategic, operational, and regulatory leadership for the Advocate Health Patient Safety Organizations (PSO) • Ensure effective design and execution of the Patient Safety Evaluation System (PSES) • Lead a coordinated, data-driven approach to patient safety and quality improvement • Serve as a key advisor and liaison to internal leadership, PSO participants, and external regulatory entities • Design and implement continuous improvement of the Patient Safety Evaluation System (PSES) • Ensure full compliance with PSQIA, AHRQ PSO requirements, and applicable regulations • Lead enterprise safety analytics by leveraging advanced data capabilities • Design and facilitate structured safe table processes for protected learning • Serve as the primary liaison to internal and external stakeholders • Develop and advance organizational capability through education on PSO frameworks, safety science, and data interpretation • Direct PSO operations and governance for the PSO team and program • Lead financial stewardship and growth strategy for the PSO
• Clinical licensure preferred (e.g., RN or equivalent) • Certification in patient safety or quality (e.g., CPPS, CPHQ) preferred or required within defined timeframe • 5–7 years of experience in patient safety, quality improvement, or healthcare operations • 2–3 years of experience as a department leader, and leading programs, projects, or initiatives • Experience working with safety data, reporting systems, or performance improvement programs • Deep knowledge of PSQIA, AHRQ requirements, PSWP confidentiality protections, and safe table practices • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, including familiarity with advanced analytics approaches • Understanding of artificial intelligence applications (including large language models) in data analysis and decision support • Ability to translate data insights into actionable recommendations and system-level improvements • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence at all levels of the organization
