📋 Description

• Manage the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and performance tuning • Monitor, capacity planning, and optimizing queries • Install, configure, and patch databases • Maintain backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability • Monitor and maintain existing HA/DR solutions • Manage logins, users, roles, permissions, and ensuring compliance with security policies • Diagnose and resolve database-related issues, providing support to application teams • Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for database systems and processes

🎯 Requirements

• Must be US Citizen (due to contractual/access requirements) • 1-3 years of experience in Information Technology • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or closely related field preferred • Google Certifications a plus • Vendor DBA Certifications for the relevant DBMS • Solid understanding and practical experience with GCP database services, including Cloud SQL (PostgreSQL), Cloud Spanner, and AlloyDB Cloud • Experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with an understanding of its services and best practices • Proficiency in Terraform, including experience with custom Terraform providers, modules, and state management • Previous experience using Git for source code management, branching strategies, and collaborative development • Hands-on experience with the Google Cloud CLI and SDK for automation, scripting, and resource interaction • Experience in Python programming, with a focus on cloud-native application development and automation • Experience in developing and deploying applications on Cloud Run
