📋 Description

• Administer the accurate delivery of financial aid and scholarships • Analyze student records and make updates and corrections based on documentation • Apply professional judgment authorized by the Department of Education to adjust FAFSA data elements • Communicate documentation requirements to students and parents • Review and verify received documentation and make informed eligibility adjustments • Document situations, changes, and adjustments • Collaborate with team members to determine daily priorities and division of work • Communicate with team and Student Financial Services staff to resolve issues and support student needs • Resolve complex problems by analyzing documents and researching federal, state, and institutional policies and regulations • Manage conflicts, resolve complaints, and develop prevention strategies • Design, develop, and implement educational service programs related to financial aid and scholarships • Counsel customers and explain processes in person, online, or by telephone • Respond to internal customer questions • Answer “acknowledged” and “In Process” tickets and assist during peak times • Monitor changing rules, regulations, policy bulletins, and statutes • Train staff in areas of expertise • Perform other related duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree • A minimum of three (3) years of related experience • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume customer-oriented role • Experience reviewing, critiquing, and analyzing customer information leading to sound decisions • Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience will be considered • Experience with Word, Excel, complex information systems, and/or relational databases preferred • Experience with the Banner Student Information System desired • Experience working in higher education or a related administrative, data-driven field preferred • Strong problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, organizational, prioritization, documentation, and computer skills • Ability to work on multiple tasks while exercising sound analytical and professional judgment • Ability to work with and meet deadlines • Ability to understand, interpret, and follow complex instructions • Ability to work as part of a collaborative team • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with people of all ages and diverse backgrounds • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented, student-centered environment • Ability to adapt to ever-changing priorities • Ability to exhibit professionalism at all times • Must be able to obtain and maintain access to federal databases such as FAA Access, COD, and NSLDS
