📋 Description
• Accurate and timely coding of hospital inpatient, outpatient and/or professional fee encounters • Understanding and applying all regulatory coding guidelines • Provide interdepartmental coding assistance to determine accurate coding assignment • Develop methodologies for compliant coding processes • Optimize revenue while maintaining compliance standards • Serve as an expert resource regarding coding systems
🎯 Requirements
• Certifications: Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC), Certified Coding Specialist - Physician-Based (CCS-P), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Outpatient Coder (COC) • High School Diploma or G.E.D • Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPC coding rules and guidelines • Ability to perform computer data entry
