📋 Description

• Answer, schedule, and document inquiries from patients and providers via telephone, internet-based, written, or electronic correspondence • Follow up on patient and provider inquiries • Educate patients and providers about insurance, providers, departments/locations, payment options, and Carle services • Obtain, update, and verify patient information in the HIS system • Answer telephones and transcribe and deliver messages to physicians, nurses, and others • Report medical information from patients and referring physicians accurately, completely, and promptly • Distribute messages according to practice communication standards • Facilitate communication between patients, providers, and the scheduler

🎯 Requirements

• Customer service work experience • Ability to accurately screen and complete patient and provider inquiries • Ability to document inquiries accurately and completely • Ability to schedule and pre-register patients • Ability to obtain, update, and verify patient demographics, insurance, emergency contacts, co-pays, and primary physicians in the HIS system • Ability to answer telephones, transcribe and deliver messages • Ability to accurately and timely report medical information • Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00–4:30 • No weekend, holiday, or on-call requirements
