📋 Description

• Provide technical field support and training for Ductless and VRF products and ancillary products • Deliver pre- and post-sales technical support and training to Carrier employees, distributors, contractors, and end users • Interact with internal and external customers for training and problem resolution • Coordinate warranty-related issues, training issues, equipment start-up, controls integration, and service-related issues • Provide troubleshooting assistance by phone, electronic communication, and job-site visits in the assigned territory • Support problem resolution groups and internal customers by gathering and providing technical data • Conduct multi-day hands-on technical installation and service training covering system overview, installation, commissioning, start-up, troubleshooting, and controls • Develop training materials for technical meetings and distributor/dealer events • Provide on-site job-site assistance for installation, troubleshooting, and start-up • Collaborate with factories and product managers to improve product offerings and simplify technical service processes • Use system software to start up and troubleshoot projects • Negotiate and process disputed warranty claims • Support and implement corporate policies, ethics, The Carrier Way, and quality initiatives • Track and report monthly expenses • Comply with Carrier’s Code of Ethics, EH&S policy, and applicable regulatory and company requirements • Travel occasionally throughout North America

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of VRF or Ductless field experience, OR 7+ years of VRF or Ductless field experience • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record • Able and willing to travel up to 75% of the year • Willing and able to travel frequently and sometimes on short notice in support of customer needs • Must have a quiet remote space with high-speed internet to work from when not traveling • VRF controls integration experience preferred • Experience with conflict resolution, negotiation, and problem solving in high-pressure environments preferred • VRF and Ductless equipment service experience preferred • Experience troubleshooting commercial applied HVAC systems preferred • Experience in quality improvement positions working with warranty data/systems preferred • Experience delivering technical presentations preferred • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook preferred • Strong written and verbal communication skills preferred • Highly motivated self-starter willing to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment • Preferred residence in OK, TX, AR, LA, MS, AL, TN, GA, NC, SC, or FL • Accessibility to an airport hub preferred
