📋 Description

• Provide a world-class onboarding experience to new Vehicle Transporters • Serve as primary trainer during a 2-week training period • Train new hires to maneuver, maintain, and operate car trailers and logistics equipment • Teach safe loading of vehicles onto a 9-car hauler while preventing damage • Conduct classroom and hands-on training • Coach, mentor, and provide feedback to new hires • Use varied techniques to transfer knowledge and develop skills • Use skills matrices, evaluation checklists, assessments, or similar tools • Provide ongoing education and evaluations for current drivers • Collaborate with Logistics Managers to transition trainees from training to on-the-job work • Support other projects as needed • Travel approximately 50% of the time, potentially more based on business needs

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is desirable • System and on the job training experience preferred • CDL class A and clean driving record • Smith Systems training and/or certification preferred or willing to be certified • Ability to bend, kneel, twist, squat, stand and climb as required to secure load • 21+ years old • Ability to speak, read and write English • Proficient with Word, spreadsheets, and systems • More than two years of CDL driving experience • Vehicle hauling experience preferred • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively • Maintain a DOT Medical card • Ability to develop individuals and teams for organizational success • Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently • Must be able to carry and transport up to 60 pounds up to 20 feet • Must be able to stand for extended periods and frequently stretch, reach, walk, stoop, push and/or pull • This is a safety-sensitive position • Role is not eligible for visa sponsorship
