📋 Description

• Teach Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision courses in accelerated seven- and fourteen-week formats with synchronous and asynchronous components • Deliver instruction, develop curriculum, assess student learning outcomes, and evaluate the program • Conduct research and maintain active professional scholarship • Advise and mentor doctoral students • Participate in administrative responsibilities, committee work, faculty meetings, course development, and course/program evaluation • Contribute to CCU’s Christ-centered mission through committee, teamwork, community development, and related activities • Participate in faculty development opportunities and assigned university events • Use Brightspace and other assigned technologies • Serve as Subject Matter Expert by developing, redeveloping, assessing, and revising doctoral courses for alignment with the PhD-CES Assessment Plan and CACREP standards • Assess and recommend improvements for student learning and the PhD-CES program • Serve as primary advisor or committee member on dissertation committees • Serve as designated faculty mentor/advisor for assigned PhD-CES students • Represent the PhD-CES program and School of Counseling at assigned CAGS center locations • Maintain professional memberships, certifications/licenses, development, advocacy, research, and scholarly activity • Develop an annual Service, Practice, and/or Scholarship Plan with at least 20 hours of professional development annually • Maintain clinical competency and adhere to state governing bodies, ACA Code of Ethics, ACES best practices, and CACREP standards • Work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by course offerings and faculty responsibilities

🎯 Requirements

• Earned doctoral degree in counselor education and supervision (CES), preferably from a CACREP-accredited program • Related doctoral degree plus full-time faculty employment in a counselor education program for a minimum of one full academic year before July 1, 2013 will also be considered • Clinical experience appropriate for graduate- and doctoral-level instruction • Appropriate certification and/or licensure (e.g., LPC, LMHC) may be required to teach some courses • Knowledge and demonstrated application of adult learning theory • Experience teaching graduate-level courses • Record of active scholarship, including peer-reviewed publications and professional conference presentations • Knowledge of ethical standards for professional counseling and counselor education and supervision • Superior oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills • Ability to work cooperatively within the CCU community • Proficiency with technological course assets and appropriate Microsoft Office software • Prior curriculum development and CACREP program accreditation experience preferred • Experience supervising and mentoring doctoral students on quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods research projects preferred • Extensive counselor supervision experience preferred • Leadership roles in professional counseling organizations preferred • Experience securing external research funding preferred • Committed follower of Jesus Christ and traditional evangelical Christian • Ability to communicate personal faith and apply biblical principles in the workplace • Strong sense of calling to Colorado Christian University ministry • Meaningful involvement in a Bible-believing evangelical local church • Knowledge of the Word of God and passion for Christian education • Lifestyle compatible with CCU’s Statement of Faith and Strategic Priorities • Must reside and work legally in the United States
