📋 Description

• Define and drive the multi-year evolution of CD Baby’s automated testing practice • Select tools for UI/end-to-end, API, contract, integration, performance, and load testing • Design and own CI/CD test integration using ArgoCD • Establish test data strategy, environment management, and reliable engineering patterns • Own the test suite for the flagship members application and .com marketing site • Build coverage for the .NET monolith, Next.js front end, and emerging services • Test usability, accessibility, stability, and functional correctness • Apply AI to test authoring, suite generation, maintenance, and coverage analysis • Embed on a cross-functional Platform team and participate in agile ceremonies • Provide the customer and quality voice during story refinement • Implement automated tests with each story • Mentor engineers through quality work, reviews, and hands-on collaboration • Report to the Director of Engineering

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with deep specialization in test automation, or equivalent Senior/Staff/Lead SDET, SET, or Quality Engineer experience • Track record of architecting a testing practice from early stage to maturity • Strong hands-on coding ability and production-quality test code • Strong experience with Playwright or comparable frameworks such as Cypress or Selenium • Deep API and contract testing experience • Experience mocking, stubbing, and using record/replay appropriately • Experience designing and running performance and load testing programs • Experience with tools such as k6, JMeter, Gatling, or Locust • Hands-on experience applying AI to testing workflows • Fluency with modern AI coding tools • Strong experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines • Ability to learn the specific technology stack quickly • Familiarity with ArgoCD, Kubernetes, and containerized test environments is a plus • Working knowledge of .NET and Next.js sufficient to read and reason about tested code • Clear point of view and experience in WCAG accessibility and usability testing • Excellent communication skills
