📋 Description

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close for managed services and professional services revenue, related costs, and gross margin • Evaluate customer contracts, statements of work, and contract changes under ASC 606 • Translate contract terms and accounting conclusions into operational requirements for project setup, revenue recognition, billing, and contract modifications • Partner with project managers and Services Operations on project budgets, estimates at completion, progress toward completion, and scope changes • Oversee unbilled revenue, deferred revenue, revenue and cost accruals, and related balance sheet accounts • Analyze services revenue and gross margin trends and explain accounting and operational drivers • Partner with Services leadership, Sales, Operations, Legal, and Technology on new offerings and commercial arrangements • Design and improve scalable accounting processes using data, automation, and AI-enabled tools • Maintain SOX controls and support internal and external audits • Lead and develop the accounting team through delegation, coaching, and accountability

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree • 7+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance • 3+ years in a management role • Experience in professional services, managed services, technology consulting, or other project-based and recurring services businesses preferred • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Advanced experience in revenue recognition guidance and application to complex fact patterns • Exceptional proficiency in financial close • Proficiency in financial software and tools • Strategic mindset and critical problem-solving ability • Leadership experience managing and developing high-performing teams • CPA certification and public accounting experience a plus
