• Teach courses according to course objectives, syllabus, and department-developed content • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students • Motivate and assist students in achieving course learning objectives • Maintain academic credentials and expertise in the discipline taught • Adhere to university instructional standards • Instruct residentially or online in the Department of History and Government • Provide instruction during the academic year • Position subject to budget approval and Cedarville University policies
• Minimum of 18 credit hours completed in a relevant discipline at a Master’s level • Master’s or Ph.D. in a relevant discipline preferred • Expertise (e.g., relevant experience, research, publication) in the applicable discipline • Documented successful teaching experience • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Competency in online delivery systems, with preference given to the Canvas LMS • Must be a born-again Christian • Must agree with and be willing to abide by Cedarville University's Doctrinal Statement, Community Covenant, and General Work Place Standards • Subject to verification of credentials and other information required by law • Successful completion of a background check required
