📋 Description

• Manage the triage process of prior authorizations • Supervise pharmacy technicians and manage departmental workflow • Identify and develop prior authorization procedures and policies • Coordinate with departments to research and resolve escalated complaints and inquiries • Monitor prior authorization processes and recommend or modify policies and procedures • Ensure operational integrity and compliance with policies and procedures • Monitor prior authorization activities and determine staffing levels • Oversee department performance and review reports and audit findings • Ensure provider notification letters are communicated accurately and timely • Oversee quality control checks and recommend improvements • Communicate clinical outcomes of prior authorization requests to providers and pharmacies • Oversee pharmacy systems tracking and triaging Medicaid prior authorization requests and Medicare D coverage determination requests • Determine whether pharmacist review is required • Build and lead a new Medication Management team supporting the Mission Simplify Project • Drive operational excellence in formulary setup, MedPharm codes, medical claims and daily operations • Present to leadership

🎯 Requirements

• Associates degree in related field or equivalent experience • 4+ years of pharmacy technician experience in a mail order prescription facility, hospital pharmacy or retail pharmacy setting • 1+ years of combined lead or supervisory and customer service experience • Prior medical claims experience required • Strong Microsoft Excel skills required • Current state’s Pharmacy Technician license, or ability to obtain after hire • National Certification from Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (CPhT) preferred • Comfortable presenting to leadership • May be hired from anywhere within the United States • Occasional travel may be required
