📋 Description

• Analyze healthcare provider, claims, utilization, and third-party data to identify performance trends, cost-of-care opportunities, and potential payment or contract deviations • Interpret measure definitions and methodologies related to provider performance, medical procedures, diagnoses, and utilization patterns • Develop and recommend KPIs, performance metrics, trend analyses, and dashboard concepts that provide actionable business insights • Support provider contract repricing analysis by comparing contracted claim payments with Medicare, Medicaid, state, or CMS benchmarks • Assist with the design, testing, and enhancement of PowerBi dashboards • Prepare and present project updates, analytical findings, and recommendations to leadership • Learn various job functions within the Managed Care industry and explore various career opportunities • Apply academic knowledge and learn new skills by contributing to various projects • Research legal, regulatory, and other topics within the functional area and industry • Attend training and development presentations to enhance professional competencies • Perform other duties as assigned • Comply with all policies and standards

🎯 Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university or college through the internship period • High school diploma or equivalent • Preferably studying in a field related to the hiring department • Working knowledge of SQL, Python, or R • Knowledge of statistical, analytical, or data mining techniques, including basic data modeling, trend analysis, and root-cause analysis preferred • Preferred knowledge of modern business intelligence and visualization tools
