📋 Description

• Act as intake for calls from patients, pharmacies and providers • Perform advanced administrative, operational and customer support duties independently • Support the interdisciplinary CIT team in resolving medication access barriers for primary care-managed medications • Conduct medication list reviews and address formulary and cost-management needs • Support Patient Assistance Program applications and Low Income Subsidy screening and enrollment • Educate patients about the Medicare Prescription Payment Plan • Manage pharmacy-related access issues and referrals through established workflows • Conduct patient outreach and coordinate with clinics and providers • Document case activity, outreach attempts, outcomes and case status updates • Review medication brand and generic names, medical terminology and pharmaceutical calculations • Perform medication adherence outreach, auditing, documenting and reporting related to STAR measures when applicable • Facilitate resolution of prior authorization and medication-obtainment issues with other departments • Attend scheduled team meetings and provide workflow feedback • Receive and manage referrals through the Internal Medication Access Program referral process • Initiate and follow through with patient assistance programs, prior authorizations, formulary exceptions/alternatives and tier reductions • Assist with medication packaging education, pharmacy transfers, third-party rejections and override assistance • Process select medication claim updates as requested by clinical pharmacists or providers • Follow program guidelines to support timely and appropriate medication access assistance

🎯 Requirements

• Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician Program • Active unrestricted State Pharmacy Technician License in your state of residence • PTCB Certified with Medication Therapy Management Certification • Minimum three (3) more years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician • Knowledge of the top 200 drugs • Experience and/or ability to work with electronic health record system • Prior Authorization experience • Pharmacy Benefit Management experience • Schedule availability Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM local time • Internet service with minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps • Dedicated work space without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
