📋 Description

• Lead APP collaboration, medical governance, and regulatory oversight across CenterWell Medical Group’s virtual care organization • Provide physician consultation and clinical oversight to Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants • Establish and maintain standardized physician collaboration models across multiple states • Support APP onboarding, education, and clinician development • Lead the Variable Staffing Pool physician model and ensure collaboration coverage across markets and states • Establish standards, expectations, and governance processes for VSP physicians • Forecast physician collaboration requirements with workforce planning, credentialing, and operational leaders • Evaluate collaboration capacity, utilization, and effectiveness • Serve as Medical Director for designated CenterWell Medical Group legal entities • Fulfill physician oversight responsibilities required by regulations, state medical boards, and organizational policies • Lead during regulatory reviews, audits, accreditation activities, and compliance assessments • Advise Legal and Compliance teams on physician practice standards and regulatory interpretation • Support multi-state physician collaboration and supervision requirements • Advise leadership on regulatory considerations for market expansion, provider deployment, and legal entity structure • Develop, implement, and review clinical policies and standards • Participate in quality, risk management, and patient safety initiatives • Review clinical trends, escalations, and provider feedback for improvement opportunities • Conduct virtual patient visits and ensure appropriate follow-up care • Use direct patient care experience to inform program design, provider support models, and clinical governance • Identify opportunities to improve patient and provider experience

🎯 Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution • Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, or related primary care specialty • 10 unrestricted medical licenses and ability to obtain more • 5 years of clinical practice experience • Within the last two years, experience serving as a collaborating physician for virtual Advanced Practice Providers • Knowledge of telehealth, virtual care delivery, and value-based care models • Strong understanding of physician collaboration, APP practice regulations, and healthcare compliance requirements • Minimum home internet speed of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload • Dedicated workspace without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information
