📋 Description

• Supervise daily authorization activities to ensure maximum efficiency • Provide guidance and direction to staff on authorization standards and procedures • Ensure adherence to policies and procedures • Initiate correspondence to insurance companies • Supervise authorization management functions and maintain assigned portfolios at acceptable levels • Provide guidance and assistance to management at assigned branches on authorization issues • Develop and implement plans to ensure authorizations are within stated objectives • Supervise maintenance of provider manuals, patient information updates, and various logs • Ensure authorizations are completed within established time frames • Ensure customer service guidelines and guarantees are adhered to • Keep abreast of authorization regulations and requirements • Communicate regulatory and procedural changes to pertinent personnel • Report directly to the Authorizations Manager

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or the equivalent • 3 years or more of healthcare related authorization experience • Some experience in a lead or supervisory role generally required • Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams • Effective communication skills • Knowledge of healthcare collection and accounts receivables procedures preferred • Monday - Friday availability from 9:30am - 6pm EST • Home internet with at least 25 Mbps download speed and 10 Mbps upload speed • Wireless, wired cable or DSL connection suggested • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
