📋 Description

• Facilitate synchronous and asynchronous virtual instruction • Use multimedia tools, platforms, and technologies, including mixed and extended reality • Tailor instructional delivery to different learning styles and abilities • Explain complex concepts clearly and encourage learner participation and critical thinking • Facilitate discussions, group activities, and projects in video-streamed and virtual reality environments • Monitor and assess learner progress and provide timely feedback and support • Respond to learner inquiries and concerns via email, chat, and other communication channels • Stay current with trends and best practices in virtual instruction and online education • Collaborate with instructional designers, technology support teams, and fellow instructors • Participate in training and professional development opportunities • Uphold academic integrity and ethical standards

🎯 Requirements

• 5-10 years of biomedical industry experience, a bachelor's degree, or post-secondary training in donor and patient immunohematology testing • Credentialed as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) • Certified as a Specialist in Blood Banking Technology (SBB) • Knowledge of blood banking and biomedical product manufacturing (RBC, plasma, platelet, cryoprecipitate) • Proven experience in virtual or online instruction • Strong command of virtual classroom technologies, video conferencing tools, learning management systems (LMS), and multimedia resources • Moderate proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) to document training • Moderate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS OneNote, and MS SharePoint • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to adapt instructional strategies for diverse learners and create inclusive learning experiences • Patient, approachable, and supportive attitude toward learners • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines • Familiarity with assessment and evaluation techniques to measure learner performance and learning outcomes • Continuous learner with a growth mindset and openness to new teaching methodologies and technologies
