📋 Description

• Advise clients in business transactions, claim liability, and the advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits or legal rights and obligations • Independently manage cases from start to finish, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motions, mediation, and trial preparation • Supervise associates and staff members • Select jurors, argue motions, meet with judges, and question witnesses during trials • Analyze and interpret laws, rulings, and regulations and assess probable case outcomes • Represent clients in court and before government agencies; present and summarize cases to judges and juries • Gather evidence, formulate defenses or initiate legal actions, evaluate findings, and develop case strategies • Conduct extensive legal research and draft substantial briefs, memoranda, pleadings, and appellate briefs • Manage deadlines and assignments with ownership and independence • Contribute to hiring, budgeting, compliance, and the firm's overall growth and direction • Provide leadership across the firm's legal and business functions and coordinate operational needs

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years’ experience in general liability/insurance defense • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school • Admitted in [State] (other states a plus) • Experience participating in negotiations and mediations • Superior analytical, research, and communication skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Annual billable amount of 1950 hours required
