• Provide full-cycle accounting support for multiple nonprofit clients, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance • Prepare month-end close workbooks and complete statement of financial position reconciliations • Issue monthly financial statements • Meet client deadlines and submit work to compliance and quality control on time • Apply nonprofit revenue recognition guidance for exchange transactions, contributions, and donor restrictions • Review investment statements and prepare investment roll-forwards • Support grant management and reporting requirements • Coordinate audit preparation, including schedules, audit support, and final audit deliverables • Assist with Form 990 preparation and other local, state, and federal filings • Prepare specialized reporting to support client decision-making • Assist with financial analysis, cash flow forecasting, and budget preparation under the guidance of a Controller • Work under the guidance of the Client Services Manager in a fully remote environment
• Full-time position open to candidates based in the United States, excluding residents of California • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting • CPA license preferred • Minimum of five years of general accounting experience • Public or outsourced accounting experience preferred • Nonprofit accounting experience preferred • Experience in audit preparation • Strong command of GAAP and nonprofit accounting principles • Ability to manage recurring accounting processes accurately and consistently • Ability to work within established procedures, compliance requirements, and quality control standards • Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines across client accounts in a remote environment • Clear written communication for documentation, reporting, and audit support • Ability to work professionally and independently from home while contributing to a team-oriented virtual environment • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, QuickBooks Online, and BILL • Willingness and ability to become proficient with Sage Intacct and other third-party applications
