• Provide empathetic crisis counseling to help-seekers via phone calls, texts, and live chats • Understand immediate needs and develop brief action plans using an evidence-informed practice model • Provide education and resource information • Address child abuse, family conflict, domestic violence, and mental health concerns • Accurately and completely enter relevant data into the Hotline database in a timely manner • Report information to authorities when legally required • Stay current on laws, regulations, policies, and practices related to child abuse and neglect • Adhere to confidentiality, ethical guidelines, and contractual obligations • Attend staff meetings and complete required trainings • Participate in team discussions to identify effective approaches and interventions • Engage in reflective supervision to continuously improve skills
• A bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field is required • Minimum one (1) year of experience working with family violence and/or child abuse • Strong understanding of laws and regulations surrounding physical, sexual, and emotional abuse, child abuse, neglect, and legal reporting requirements • Ability to successfully complete Hotline Counselor training and pass all competency assessments • Must meet all job expectations, including successful completion of the counselor assessment, within the first 90 days of employment • Available to work Tuesday–Saturday, 7:00am–3:30pm Arizona Time Zone
