• Grow student enrollment in CIEE's high school and recent graduate study abroad programs • Own the applicant journey from initial interest through confirmed participation • Build relationships with students and families and guide them toward suitable programs • Showcase CIEE Global Navigator programs, including High School Summer Abroad, Custom School Trips, High School Semester Abroad, Gap Year Abroad, and First Year Abroad • Convey the value and outcomes of study abroad to U.S. high school students and legal guardians • Engage leads and applicants through phone, text, and email outreach • Complete 20–60 calls per day depending on the time of year • Motivate and coach participants and families through scholarship and application processes • Help families overcome barriers to studying abroad • Provide customer service throughout application, acceptance, confirmation, and pre-departure processes • Host virtual student and parent webinars, including some evening hours • Present at high schools and fairs in the territory, including domestic travel • Review applications, accept applicants, and convert them to paid participants • Ensure participant financial accounts are accurate and paid in full; follow up on discrepancies and missing payments • Use Salesforce reports to manage the applicant pipeline and reach sales goals • Maintain accurate customer communication records in Salesforce • Provide year-round on-program participant support • Participate in sales training and develop sales skills • Provide emergency support during 1–2 travel weekends per year • Perform other duties as assigned
• Bachelor's degree or international equivalent • Minimum of two years of customer service or sales experience • Ability to navigate challenging conversations • Excellent verbal and written communication • Ability to understand and tailor communication to different audiences • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail • Additional language skills beyond English are a plus • International travel or study abroad experience is a plus • Experience working with diverse high school students is a plus • Ability to work some evening hours • Ability to provide emergency support during 1–2 travel weekends per year • Background check, reference check, and education and employment verification required as conditions of employment • Candidates must be located in the NYC Boroughs, Westchester, Connecticut, or Long Island
