Circular Action Alliance is a nonprofit, producer-led Producer Responsibility Organization (PRO) that coordinates and implements extended producer responsibility (EPR) and stewardship programs for paper and packaging across multiple U. S. states. CAA provides harmonized compliance services, producer registration and reporting, program administration, and stakeholder engagement to advance an efficient, effective circular economy for packaging materials.

📋 Description

• Responsible for all day-to-day financial accounting operations including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Invoicing and Collections, Payments to State & Local authorities, Bank Accounts Maintenance and Bank Accounts Reconciliation and Cash Management. • Establish all Financial Accounting policies and processes including training and job aid development/management. • Lead month-end, quarter-end, year-end accounting close. • Ensure quality controls across all financial accounting. • Overall leader for the Financial Reporting activities. • Own the Financial ERP system and responsible for efficient operations, new functionalities/enhancements. • Lead all regulatory (State and Federal) reporting requirements. • Responsible for designing, developing, recruitment and managing a large organization of accountants in support of the work. • Understand, design and develop appropriate internal controls and risk management policies, processes and organization.

🎯 Requirements

• Advanced degree in Accounting or Finance. • CPA required. • Non-profit experience highly recommended. • At least 10+ years of accounting and financial reporting experience. • Through knowledge of accounting principles and procedures. • Good knowledge of internal controls, risk management and mitigation and ability to pivot to critical priorities. • Experience creating, analyzing, reporting financial statements. • Experience with Workday Financials highly preferred. • In absence of Workday Financials, candidates must have strong experience across other financial systems and must demonstrate ability to quickly understand and master Workday Financials. • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
