📋 Description

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care of patients according to organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards • Review medical clearance cases and ensure requests are completed within the required timeframe before surgery • Coordinate with specialists for additional labs, examinations, x-rays, and clearance when necessary • Collaborate with providers and healthcare professionals to facilitate smooth and efficient inpatient or procedural workflows • Ensure evaluations follow clinical guidelines and safety regulations • Document patient medical histories, communications with external medical offices and clinics, and steps taken during the clearance process • Input and retrieve data from electronic health systems • Collaborate with doctors, medical staff, patients, center staff, Prosthetic Exam Performers, Prosthodontists, and Oral Surgeons to obtain timely results and communicate clearance progress • Identify potential issues or risks affecting medical-clearance turnaround time • Handle multiple patients and procedures efficiently within set deadlines • Perform all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, and applicable professional standards

🎯 Requirements

• At least 1 year experience working as a medical clearance professional, pre-ops case manager, utilization manager, or case manager, preferably in a remote or hybrid environment • At least one active state RN license • Compact state licensure • Nursing diploma • Proficient level of experience with Microsoft Office or Google Office applications • Strong technical aptitude • Strong oral and written communication skills • Excellent analytical, planning, and process development skills • Preferred completion of an accredited Certified Professional Utilization Review (CPUR) program or Certified Case Manager (CCM) issued by the Commission for Case Manager Certification • Preferred minimum one-year licensed RN experience in PreOp/PACU (i.e. ICU, ED) • Preferred bachelor’s degree with a business concentration or an MBA
