📋 Description

• Develop, train, fine-tune, and optimize advanced GenAI and machine learning models for healthcare problems • Design and conduct experiments to evaluate AI model performance • Collaborate with IT, operations, and clinical teams to develop and integrate AI solutions into products and systems • Mentor and guide interns, junior staff, scientists, and engineers, depending on level • Stay current with GenAI and large language model developments • Participate in technology roadmaps for AI projects • Present project updates to team members and cross-functional partners • Define and advance Cleveland Clinic’s AI strategy • Deliver innovative, scalable, AI-driven solutions • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Staff level: MS or PhD degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields • Staff level: 7+ years of hands-on AI/ML research and development experience post-PhD, or 10+ years post-Master’s degree • Senior level: Master’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Economics, Applied Math, Engineering, or related fields • Senior level: 7 years of hands-on AI/ML research and development experience, or PhD plus 4 years of such experience post-PhD • Expertise with TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Hugging Face • Experience building, tuning, and fine-tuning foundation models • In-depth experience with deep learning and GenAI techniques in Natural Language Processing and multi-modal representations • Strong software skills in Python or other relevant programming languages • Experience developing and deploying AI technologies in healthcare • Familiarity with healthcare data and systems, including EHR and medical imaging • Experience with cloud computing technologies related to AI, including Azure and Databricks • Familiarity with MLOps best practices • Ability to take projects from requirements gathering and design through product launch • Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders • Strong problem-solving skills and passion for leveraging AI in healthcare • Ability to travel throughout the hospital system • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods • Ability to operate a computer and office equipment • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information • Required to comply with annual influenza vaccination program or obtain an approved exemption • Offers of employment are followed by controlled-substance testing
