📋 Description

• Serve as an enterprise leader advancing risk control strategy, technical excellence, and underwriting support across Allied Healthcare and Life Science business segments • Perform onsite or virtual risk evaluations and consultative risk improvement services for complex and sophisticated accounts • Control loss exposure and costs and support underwriting profit through risk determination • Assess customer program needs and develop and execute customized strategies and implementation plans • Manage delivery of direct evaluative and consultative services • Partner with underwriting and other areas to evaluate and assess complex risks • Participate with senior management in developing and implementing risk control policy, marketing, and business strategy • Develop and maintain internal and external business relationships • Coordinate risk control services for multinational and global insured accounts • Identify opportunities for new products and services • Provide specialized expertise in allied healthcare, facilities and providers, and Life Sciences product liability • Mentor less experienced risk control staff and other functional areas • Participate in developing and presenting education and training programs • Stay current on risk control issues, regulations, industry activity, and trends • Represent the company in industry trade groups as needed • Report to a Director or above

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Pharmacy, Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare Administration, Life Sciences, Risk Management, or related field • 10+ years of experience in healthcare risk management, professional liability, life sciences quality systems, medical device safety, pharmaceutical operations, insurance risk control, or related disciplines • Professional designations such as RN, PharmD, MPH, ARM, CPCU, CPHRM, CPHQ, RAPS, RAC, ASQ, CQA, or equivalent • Highest level of technical and industry-specific expertise in risk control evaluation and assessment • Knowledge of insurance and risk control principles, practices and procedures • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills • Ability to effectively interact with internal and external business partners at all levels • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple projects • Ability to deal with ambiguous situations and issues • Creativity in resolving unique and challenging business problems • Ability to achieve results through a proactive, long-term view of business goals and objectives • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software • Ability and willingness to travel • Demonstrated thought leadership, technical writing, and public speaking capabilities • Industry presentation experience highly desirable
