📋 Description

• Shape the multi-year vision for AI platform capabilities, identifying emerging technologies and industry shifts that inform investment priorities and architectural decisions • Own the end-to-end product roadmap and success metrics for AI Foundations, spanning model infrastructure, context and knowledge primitives, integration frameworks, and evaluation systems • Drive adoption of AI primitives across Coinbase product and engineering teams by building self-serve capabilities, clear documentation, and compelling internal developer experiences • Lead model governance strategy, defining how Coinbase evaluates, integrates, and manages large language models across cost, quality, latency, and safety dimensions • Partner with Engineering, Security, Legal, and Finance to ensure AI infrastructure meets Coinbase's standards for reliability, compliance, and responsible use

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of product management experience • 5+ years focused on AI/ML platforms, developer tools, or infrastructure products used by internal engineering teams • Proven track record of defining and shipping platform primitives or developer-facing products with broad internal or external adoption • Deep technical fluency in LLM architectures, model serving, prompt engineering, evaluation frameworks, and agent-based systems • Ability to engage directly with engineers on design tradeoffs • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives across engineering, security, legal, and finance in a fast-moving, regulated environment • Ability to build conviction with senior and executive stakeholders around ambiguous, high-stakes platform bets • Ability to articulate complex technical strategy, investment cases, and tradeoffs in clear narratives that drive alignment and resource decisions • Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality
