📋 Description

• Integrate new blockchains, decentralized exchanges, and launchpads into the Coinbase app • Design and implement first-party smart contracts for onchain trading primitives, including DEX aggregation and advanced order types • Scale real-time data pipelines to handle 100K+ messages per second • Enable millisecond-latency processing of blockchain market data • Optimize the trading stack end-to-end for fast execution, optimal fills, and comprehensive asset coverage • Drive iteration on agentic-first development patterns • Build self-improving software systems and tooling to accelerate team velocity • Support onchain DEX trading for millions of Coinbase users and 70M+ tokens across major blockchains including Base and Solana

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in backend software engineering • Demonstrated success building and operating data systems or data pipelines in production • Hands-on experience designing data-intensive systems • Experience with large-scale data infrastructure such as Kafka, ClickHouse, StarRocks, Temporal, and Redis • Proven experience designing and integrating onchain smart contracts on EVM (Ethereum, Base) or Solana • Deep understanding of the programming models of one or more of these virtual machines • Demonstrated ability to build, iterate on, and improve agentic-first code repositories and software systems in production environments • Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight • Role is located in the USA; US applicants must comply with applicable work requirements
