📋 Description

• Provide interpretation for virtual therapy treatment sessions and evaluations • Coordinate Zoom therapy sessions with speech or occupational therapists • Translate written and spoken materials between languages • Explain and communicate therapeutic procedures and specialized terminology • Handle therapeutic documents and terminology • Access reference materials needed for interpretation duties • Serve as administrative backup when necessary • Carry out other projects assigned by the supervisor • Report to the designated manager on site • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA guidelines • Work in a facility or approved home care setting when required

🎯 Requirements

• Bilingual English/Spanish required • Exceptional reading and comprehension skills • Excellent writing skills • Command of English and Spanish • Knowledge of interpreting techniques • Knowledge of cultural and linguistic differences affecting communication • Ability to translate documents, letters, therapeutic instructions, registration information, consents, and other materials • Ability to provide accurate, high-quality interpretation under pressure • Knowledge of speech, occupational, and physical therapy terminology • Proficiency in Microsoft Office at expert level • Proficiency with Zoom • Strong clerical skills • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines • High school diploma or equivalent • Ability to work Saturdays and Sundays • Associate degree preferred • One year of interpreting experience, or equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience • Ability to meet the stated physical demands of the role
