📋 Description

• Understand Complex-tier members' financial backgrounds, business structures, goals, and tax situations • Identify optimization opportunities and bridge bookkeeping and tax delivery • Support, mentor, and provide feedback to bookkeepers and tax staff • Manage complex-tier members' ongoing tax and bookkeeping delivery • Review year-round financial activity and assess books-to-tax implications of business decisions • Handle escalations involving complex member situations such as rental property income and multi-state/nexus exposure • Review bookkeeping and federal/state tax returns, including Forms 1040, 1120-S, 1065, and schedules C/E/SE • Serve as the in-house technical expert for complex accounting and tax matters • Advise on multi-state apportionment, nexus, rental property basis, K-1 flow-through, and payroll sourcing • Partner with enablement to build playbooks and training modules • Upskill into additional service types or complex work areas • Document complex scenarios, identify patterns, and develop training and process improvements

🎯 Requirements

• Active CPA, EA, or JD in state of residency • 5+ years of experience scaling and bridging bookkeeping and tax operations • Technical proficiency in complex books and tax preparation • Experience with multi-jurisdictional compliance • Experience preparing Forms 1040 and 1120-S, among others • Hands-on experience managing high-volume workflows and large client portfolios • Strong analytical and data-driven problem-solving skills • Ability to translate deep tax complexity into scalable workflows • Comfortable working within Google Workspace and Slack • Experience with tax research/preparation tools such as CCH and GoSystems • Experience with issue-documentation tools such as Jira and Confluence • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States • Candidates must not require sponsorship for a US employment visa
