Collegewise is a private college admissions advising and tutoring company that provides personalized 1:1 counseling, academic planning, extracurricular and leadership development, research and internship placement, and test prep (SAT/ACT and AP) for middle school through graduate applicants. They offer essay coaching, athletic recruitment guidance, transfer and graduate application strategy, and host free webinars and resources to support families through the college admissions process. Founded in 1999, Collegewise serves students and parents directly and partners with schools and organizations to deliver admissions expertise.

📋 Description

• Carry a caseload of 12+ students, primarily juniors and seniors • Guide students and families through the full college admissions process • Build and maintain one-to-one relationships with students • Counsel students outside school hours and in their time zones • Support both students and their families • Track processes and deadlines to ensure nothing falls through the cracks • Work approximately 10–20 hours per week with students, depending on season and caseload • Complete initial training followed by mentoring, support, and ongoing professional development • Use internal systems and third-party tools to manage caseloads, track student progress, and communicate with families • Occasionally work weekends during the fall busy season (approximately September–January)

🎯 Requirements

• Must reside in and be eligible to work in the United States • Must be available during West Coast hours as a regular part of the schedule • Experience working directly with students and families • Ability to work with students of all ages, including freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors • Experience navigating parent and family dynamics • Ability to manage a caseload of 12+ students • Strong project management, deadline tracking, and organizational skills • Ability to work autonomously within evolving systems • Problem-solving and decision-making skills • Comfort learning and using internal systems and third-party tools • Availability to counsel students outside school hours and occasionally on weekends during the busy fall season • College admissions experience is not required • Must provide own equipment and reliable internet connection
