• Assist the NHLBI Division of Extramural Research Activities, Office of Grants Management, with grants management functions • Review, analyze, process, and coordinate grant-related actions and correspondence • Support competing and non-competing grant applications, correspondence, administrative analysis, and portfolio activities • Triage competing and non-competing grant applications • Set work priorities, follow up on required documentation, and upload documents to official grant folders • Review competing grant applications for bars to funding, foreign involvement, and summary statement concerns • Issue award notices within specified timeframes • Perform administrative analysis of budgets, human and animal subject codes, and regulatory matters • Facilitate communications and provide policy and procedural guidance to grantees and Federal staff • Respond to letters, memos, phone calls, and emails • Prepare clear and accurate correspondence addressing administrative issues, including prior approvals • Collaborate with program and grantee staff on information required before award • Assist with OGM supplements and funding
• Must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder • Must work W2 • Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screen • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent specialized experience • Minimum eight (8) years of specialized experience performing NIH grants management activities within the past three (3) years • Experience with eRA IMPACII Grants Management Module • Ability to interpret and apply regulations, policies, and procedures relating to complex grant issues
