📋 Description

• Lead all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger management • Ensure compliance with US GAAP, including revenue recognition, inventory costing, and accruals • Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial outputs • Maintain and improve accounting policies and documentation • Design and implement a formal internal controls framework • Establish and document key controls across accounting processes • Lead internal audit readiness, including testing, documentation, and remediation • Identify control gaps and strengthen processes with stakeholders • Lead audit preparation, PBC schedules, and auditor coordination • Support preparation of financial statements and internal reporting packages • Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes • Establish close timelines, deliverables, and accountability • Ensure timely and accurate financial statements • Review balance sheet reconciliations and resolve close variances and issues • Report directly to the CFO and partner with finance, supply chain, technology, and operations leadership

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field • 6–8+ years of progressive accounting experience • 3–4 years of experience in audit or public accounting • Proven experience leading month-end close and owning accounting processes • Strong understanding of US GAAP and internal controls • Experience in inventory and/or DTC, eCommerce, or retail environments preferred • Advanced Excel skills, including XLOOKUP, pivot tables, and reconciliations • Experience with ERP systems and high-volume transaction environments • CPA strongly preferred
