📋 Description

• Provide confidential, non-judgmental, and non-critical phone support to callers around the state • Practice the principles of Intentional Peer Support (IPS) • Work under the general direction of the Warmline Supervisor and receive guidance from a Shift Leader or Team Leader • Participate in ongoing training, team-building, and meetings • Work closely with Shift Leaders in an environment requiring improvements and change • Track data logs and enter data accurately • Present data professionally to represent warmline activity • Write reports for the Warmline Shift Leader or assigned Warmline Supervisor • Provide all information in a timely and professional manner • Handle highly confidential information while following applicable rules and laws • Use computer, phone, and office automation systems to perform essential duties

🎯 Requirements

• Must identify as a person with lived experience of having big feelings and provide support to others through difficult times • Must possess a certificate for completion of the Core Training in Intentional Peer Support (IPS) • Must become registered with the Oregon Health Authority Traditional Health Worker registry as a Peer Support Specialist during the first 6 months of working for the Warmline • Must complete training role-plays and demonstrate a working understanding of what the Warmline is and is not • Ability to work with minimal supervision • Participation in ongoing trainings and meetings as assigned • Adherence to all policies and procedures • Respect, feedback, strong communication, and team skills • Fundamental awareness of cross-cultural issues, dual diagnosis/addictions, and effects of PTSD/trauma, or willingness to learn • Ability to handle highly confidential information and adhere to client confidentiality rules and laws • Effective written and oral communication, with assistance if needed • Ability or willingness to learn and use Microsoft Office, including MS Word, Excel, and Publisher • Ability to maintain written and digital logs for data collection • Ability to use email, conference calls, printers, fax, and multi-line phone systems • Must pass criminal history check requirements under ORS 181.536-181.537 and OAR 410-007-0200 through 410-007-0380 • Must pass pre-hire drug screening
