• Perform complex compliance activities supporting major grants from the U.S. Government and other multilateral funders • Ensure compliance and risk mitigation for grant agreements, subgrants, subcontracts, purchase orders, consulting agreements, and subgrant solicitation and award processes • Collaborate with Legal and operational teams to ensure agreements and compliance activities meet legal and donor standards • Serve as a resource and collaborator for program teams on broader grant compliance matters • Review and negotiate complex grant-related awards, subawards, and associated contracts • Acquire and maintain appropriate certifications for grant funding, including SAM.gov and U.S. Government registrations • Support proposal development as liaison among program teams, Legal, and the Office of Governance, Risk, and Assurance • Ensure compliance with donor rules, regulations, and legal frameworks at federal, state, and international levels • Assist the Legal Department with interpreting grant agreement terms and regulatory changes • Guide program teams on compliance with legal and donor requirements • Facilitate subrecipient and vendor vetting, due diligence, sanctions checks, and performance assessments • Coordinate contract review, negotiation, and execution with the Finance team • Develop organizational capacity for managing high-value and high-risk grants • Coordinate and provide formal training on relevant policies and donor compliance rules, including 2 CFR 200 • Conduct grant-related procurement and sourcing activities as needed • Coordinate project subawards from grant opportunity announcement through subrecipient monitoring and management • Run competitive subaward solicitations as required • Facilitate subrecipient capacity building with National Offices and Compassion experts • Help resolve problems with subrecipient deliverables and payments
• Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ • Consistent witness for Jesus Christ and courteous, Christ-like attitude • Faithfully upholds Compassion’s ministry in prayer • Acts as an advocate to raise awareness of children’s needs • Understands Christ’s mandate to protect children • Commits to and prioritizes child protection in decision-making, tasks, and activities • Abides by Compassion’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct • Reports concerns of child abuse, neglect, or exploitation through Compassion’s internal reporting process • Experience or ability to review and negotiate complex grant-related awards, subawards, and associated contracts • Knowledge of donor and legal requirements for grants • Ability to acquire and maintain grant-funding certifications, including SAM.gov and U.S. Government registrations • Knowledge of federal, state, and international donor rules, regulations, and legal frameworks • Ability to interpret grant agreement terms and regulatory changes • Ability to coordinate due diligence, sanctions checks, and performance assessments for subrecipients and vendors • Knowledge of project budgets, procurement strategies, documentation, and audit standards • Knowledge of USG and other donor compliance rules, including 2 CFR 200 regulations • Ability to coordinate subawards from solicitation and selection through monitoring and management • Ability to facilitate subrecipient capacity building and resolve deliverable and payment issues
• Geographic differential may be available for employees in specific high cost of labor locations in the United States, such as San Francisco, CA and Seattle, WA • Grant-funded role currently approved for a one-year period
