📋 Description

• Develop, refine, and oversee the voice of Complex Snapchat • Create, curate, and manage all content published to the Complex Snapchat network • Lead community management, moderation, and direct-message management • Surface and pitch viral, breaking, and social-friendly content to the news and social team • Ideate, source, and create original real-time content for Snapchat • Identify memes, moments, and trends at the cusp of virality • Manage editorial social-post workflow and coordinate posting schedules with the branded social team • Implement and utilize AI tools to improve efficiency and serve as a thought partner • Develop ideas for new Snapchat video content • Create creative assets in Photoshop and Premiere/CapCut • Support growth, traffic, views, and engagement goals • Provide vertical-specific tactics, strategic pivots, and direction when needed • Track and share social and platform best practices with internal teams

🎯 Requirements

• 2–3 years of social media and editorial experience with a publisher or brand • Extensive knowledge of the internet, pop culture, and vertical video • Previous Snapchat publishing experience strongly preferred • Deep understanding of Complex’s content, voice, and tone • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and Premiere • Proficiency in mobile editing software, particularly CapCut • Experience with AI image generation • Strong writing, communication, proofreading, and quick decision-making skills • Robust knowledge of streetwear/fashion and its connections to pop culture, sports, and music • Deep understanding and fluency surrounding Snapchat and social video • Proven track record driving audience and consumer action on social media • Up-to-date knowledge of competitors’ social activity • Self-management skills and take-charge attitude • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
