📋 Description

• Virtually manage instructional programs for students identified with dyslexia or related disorders • Collaborate with reading/language arts teachers, learning coaches, and district professionals • Provide instructional guidance, virtual teaching, and general strategies for a caseload of students • Develop, write, and implement dyslexia plans, coordinating with the 504 Coordinator and/or Special Education teachers • Evaluate tests and assessments, complete progress reports, and conduct parent conferences • Communicate regularly with parents and learning coaches to ensure student goals and needs are addressed • Consult with teachers and coordinate dyslexia instruction • Provide direct student services through web-conferencing software as needed • Participate in the school’s Student Support Team • Help teachers and learning coaches develop and implement program modifications and strategies • Assist with dyslexia paperwork, documentation, and procedures • Maintain accurate, up-to-date data in the Learning Management System and other required platforms • Assist with state testing and coordinate required special adaptations • Use technology to deliver virtual instruction • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Degree in Education • Certification in Dyslexia and Related Disorders, Reading specialization, and/or Language Arts/English certification • Dyslexia training certificate requested as an attachment to the resume • Valid credential in Texas • ACP candidates seeking an internship are not eligible • Experience working with students with dyslexia, or a Dyslexia Certification in Texas • Completion of a professional development course for online teaching meeting TxVSN requirements • Experience with Texas Dyslexia Handbook policies and guidelines • Strong technology skills, especially Microsoft Office products • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Customer-focused approach • High degree of flexibility • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Track record as a team player • Willingness to travel occasionally for marketing, state testing, and school-based events
