Connections Academy is a tuition-free, accredited K–12 online public school program operated by Connections Education (a Pearson division). It delivers state-aligned curriculum and virtual classroom experiences with certified teachers, personalized learning, and support for families serving as learning coaches. The program offers grade-level courses, college and career readiness, clubs and socialization opportunities, and technology support across multiple U. S. states.

📋 Description

• Complete grading and create progress reports • Conduct parent conferences • Support instructional programs through asynchronous web conferencing and synchronous instruction • Review curriculum and devise alternate lesson approaches • Communicate regularly with parents, students, teachers, curriculum specialists, and staff • Develop and update Personal Learning Plans and schedules • Score assessments and provide feedback on student work • Suggest instructional strategies and monitor assignment completion • Coach special projects and provide assistance with daily assignments • Collaborate with teachers to support student progress and coordinate parent contacts • Develop detailed knowledge of assigned courses and general knowledge of the K-12 curriculum • Maintain current student records, cumulative files, attendance accounting, and contact logs • Develop enrichment activities and program modifications • Create and maintain a virtual school community • Participate in state testing organization and administration • Work with Advisory Teachers and School Counselors to support students and families • Attend field trips and community activities • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Highly qualified and certified to teach Middle School Physical Education in Indiana • Residency in Indiana • Strong technology skills, especially with Microsoft OS and MS Office programs • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Customer-focused approach • High degree of flexibility • Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced environment • Team player track record • Willingness to travel occasionally for marketing and state testing events, potentially including overnight travel • Ability to work remotely, if necessary • Ability to work occasional evening hours as needed to support families • Must be able to use a personal electronic device and an email address for two-step authentication
