📋 Description

• Provide ELL K-12 program administration, professional support and training, and student and family services • Apply language acquisition principles to program development, teacher support, and student education • Advise administration to ensure state and federal compliance • Provide rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences • Personalize learning and differentiate instruction based on student mastery • Augment course content using appropriate asynchronous and synchronous tools • Maintain the grade book and student academic integrity • Make student placement and promotion decisions and alert administrators to performance concerns • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Establish positive rapport with families and communicate with students and parents or learning coaches • Support parents and learning coaches with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting issues • Travel as required for professional development, student testing, and school needs

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree • Active state teaching license • English Language Learner (ELL) certificate or license • If certification is from another state, obtain Indiana reciprocity within 60 days of employment • Indiana residency requirement • Ability to clear a required background check • Ability to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic student-data representations and use them for instructional decisions • Ability to collaborate with other teachers • Receptive to regular coaching from administrators and teacher trainers • Ability to embrace change and adapt to ensure excellent student outcomes • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms • Ability to maintain teacher certification and professional-development hours • Fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional, distraction-free home office during the workday • Desired: experience with the proposed age group • Desired: experience supporting adults and children with technology • Desired: online or brick-and-mortar teaching experience • Desired: experience with online learning platforms
