Connections Academy is a tuition-free, accredited K–12 online public school program operated by Connections Education (a Pearson division). It delivers state-aligned curriculum and virtual classroom experiences with certified teachers, personalized learning, and support for families serving as learning coaches. The program offers grade-level courses, college and career readiness, clubs and socialization opportunities, and technology support across multiple U. S. states.

📋 Description

• Manage instructional programs remotely • Consult regularly with learning coaches and students • Complete grading, create progress reports, and conduct parent conferences • Communicate with parents, students, and other teachers • Develop and update Personal Learning Plans and schedules • Provide feedback on student work and suggest instructional approaches • Monitor completion of assignments and coach special projects • Keep student records and attendance accounting up-to-date • Consult with team members to develop alternate enrichment activities • Participate in the organization and administration of State Testing • Attend field trips and community activities • Other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Certified to teach Secondary Electives in South Carolina (appropriate to grade level responsibilities) • Must reside in South Carolina • Gifted and Talented Endorsement highly recommended • Strong technology skills (especially with MS Office programs and Google Suite) • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written • Highly organized and punctual • Customer focused approach • High degree of flexibility • Demonstrated ability to work well in fast paced environment • Team player track record • Willingness to travel on occasion for school and state testing events (may require occasional overnight travel) • Ability to work remotely, if necessary • Ability to work some occasional evening hours, as needed to support some families • Must be able to use a personal electronic device and an email address for two-step
