It delivers state-aligned curriculum and virtual classroom experiences with certified teachers, personalized learning, and support for families serving as learning coaches. The program offers grade-level courses, college and career readiness, clubs and socialization opportunities, and technology support across multiple U. S. states.

📋 Description

• Provide social/emotional virtual services to K-12 students enrolled in Connections Academy schools • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions • Evaluate students' needs and develop personalized intervention plans • Respond to and manage crises such as bullying or family problems • Support families and connect them with community resources • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, school staff, special education staff, and other professionals • Advocate for students' needs and appropriate services • Provide workshops and training on mental health, substance abuse, and conflict resolution • Maintain accurate records of interactions, progress, interventions, and reports • Plan and implement therapy in a virtual environment • Apply school- and state-specific LiveCounseling policies and procedures • Review and analyze reports to maintain compliance • Conduct screenings and formal and informal evaluations of students' supportive needs • Communicate with parents/learning coaches regarding counseling needs and IEP goals • Consult with teachers and coordinate specially designed instruction under IEPs • Assist with IEP paperwork, documentation, and procedures • Maintain data in the Education Management System and special education software, including secondary IEP systems • Adhere to data protection and security laws and company policies • Attend supervisor touch-base meetings • Complete additional duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• MS in Social Work • Michigan LCSW or LMSW • Michigan DOE School Social Worker License • Ability to obtain and maintain multiple required state certifications and clearances • 2+ years' experience in a K-12 school setting • Strong technology skills • High degree of flexibility and ability to work independently • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Personal electronic device and email address for two-step authentication • Computer, second monitor, mouse, and keyboard provided by the employee for home working • Ability to obtain and maintain all required licenses and clearances • Completion of required professional development, training, and CEU courses
