Connections Academy is a tuition-free, accredited K–12 online public school program operated by Connections Education (a Pearson division). It delivers state-aligned curriculum and virtual classroom experiences with certified teachers, personalized learning, and support for families serving as learning coaches. The program offers grade-level courses, college and career readiness, clubs and socialization opportunities, and technology support across multiple U. S. states.

📋 Description

• Manage instructional programs and support students virtually • Complete grading, create progress reports, and conduct parent conferences • Support the instructional program with asynchronous web conferencing and synchronous instruction • Review curriculum and present lessons to increase student understanding • Communicate with parents, students, and other teachers regularly • Develop Personal Learning Plans and schedules for students • Keep student records and data up-to-date • Manage and coordinate field trips and social activities for students • Participate in organization of State Testing and proctoring • Attend training sessions and team building activities throughout the year • Other duties as assigned.

🎯 Requirements

• Highly qualified and certified to teach Art in Missouri • Experience with Professional Learning Communities • Strong technology skills (especially with Microsoft OS and MS Office programs) • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written • Customer focused approach • High degree of flexibility • Demonstrated ability to work well in fast paced environment • Team player track record • Willingness to travel on occasion for marketing and state testing events • Ability to work remotely, if necessary • Ability to work some occasional evening hours, as needed to support some families • Must be able to use a personal electronic device and email address for 2-step authentication.
