📋 Description

• Oversee and manage scanning for application security vulnerabilities • Resolve application security vulnerabilities before software release • Create plans of action and milestones for vulnerabilities deferred to later releases • Perform operations and maintenance software development activities • Work with the development team and IRS personnel to improve agent experience in a large call center environment • Schedule and host developer technical meetings • Address issues and propose solutions • Provide technical advice and optimize processes • Develop work proposals for review and approval • Keep the Project Manager and Task Lead informed • Develop software code changes and updates as a productive software development team member

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 12 years of software/web development/engineering/optimization using Object Oriented Programming • Full-stack J2EE experience with Java 17 and 21, JavaScript, Spring framework, Spring Boot/Join Faces, PrimeFaces, JQuery, Java Beans, and JSF • Experience with ECLIPSE 2022 or later, RedHat Linux, Tomcat, and HTML5 • Hands-on experience with security scan software such as Trivy, SonarCube, Qualys, and Nexus IQ • Experience with vulnerability mitigation, incident tracking/management, Maven, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, OpenShift projects, and container management • Knowledge of IBM mainframe components including Verastream Bridge Integrator, CICS, and mainframe transaction processing • Experience conducting unit testing, peer reviews, code check-in/check-out, requirements analysis, LOE assessment/documentation, and technical documentation • Strong analytical skills for defect identification and resolution • Experience troubleshooting development/production server problems, networking, and environment configuration • Experience or knowledge of Jira, ServiceNow, Selenium, open-source logging, iText APIs, IRS Enterprise Life Cycle, OneSDLC, IRM/IRS security regulations, IRM 2.5 System Development, and 508 Compliance desired • Experience with networking fundamentals, development environments, and change control processes desired • Familiarity with IBM Liberty and IBM Assembler is a plus • Active Treasury/IRS Public Trust or Minimum Background Investigation clearance required, or mandatory eligibility to acquire it • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related discipline highly desired • Software development, security, networking, or system administration certifications are a plus
