📋 Description

• Build, launch, and lead the Deadly Weapons insurance product • Report directly to the Head of Crisis Management • Grow the portfolio profitably as a Coverholder of Convex UK and select capacity providers • Recruit, lead, coach, and develop the U.S. Deadly Weapons underwriting product and team • Collaborate with Convex UK and other capacity providers to develop an aligned business plan and underwriting appetite • Develop underwriting strategies for a start-up, including product development, pricing, and competitive analysis • Establish the optimal capacity mix for long-term product growth • Underwrite, maintain, and grow the portfolio in accordance with the Deadly Weapons plan, strategy, authority levels, and regulatory environment • Build and manage a crisis-management vendor ecosystem specializing in threat assessment, response, and value-added services • Develop and maintain wholesale and retail production-source relationships • Produce proprietary marketing and brand collateral • Lead a small underwriting team and collaborate with leadership to deliver the annual business plan and underwriting profit targets

🎯 Requirements

• Experience or expertise in technical underwriting, product development, capacity management, and crisis management vendor integration • Ability to recruit, lead, coach, and develop an underwriting product and team • Experience collaborating with UK and other capacity-provider underwriters and underwriting leadership • Ability to lead a start-up and attract top-tier underwriting talent • Ability to develop underwriting strategies, product development, pricing, and competitive analysis • Ability to align and establish an optimal capacity mix • Ability to underwrite, maintain, and grow a portfolio in accordance with plan, strategy, authority levels, and regulatory requirements • Ability to build and manage a vendor ecosystem specializing in threat assessment and response • Ability to develop and maintain wholesale and retail production-source relationships • Ability to produce marketing and brand collateral • Ability to deliver annual top- and bottom-line business plans and underwriting profit targets • Driving Results • Developing and Leveraging Relationships • Analytical Skills • Impression and Communication • Empathy • Integrity • Entrepreneurial Drive
