📋 Description

• Receive and review incoming referrals via fax, electronic portals, and provider communications • Enter patient demographics, insurance information, and referral details into the system • Verify referral documentation and obtain required elements before benefits investigation and authorization • Conduct welcome calls and explain services, next steps, and financial expectations • Communicate with referring providers to obtain missing or clarifying information • Initiate benefits investigations for pharmacy and infusion services • Identify payer requirements, coverage limitations, and prior authorization needs • Communicate findings to internal teams and escalate issues as needed • Support prior authorization submissions and gather clinical documentation • Coordinate with financial counseling teams on patient cost estimates and assistance options • Identify eligible patients for manufacturer assistance or copay support and initiate enrollment • Route referrals to appropriate teams and track referral status • Maintain documentation and audit trails in accordance with compliance standards

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in healthcare intake, medical office, specialty pharmacy, or infusion services • Experience with prior authorizations, benefits investigation, or revenue cycle processes preferred • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry • Knowledge of commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid insurance plans • Ability to manage a high-volume workload and meet turnaround time expectations • Excellent communication and customer service skills • Proficiency in EMR systems and pharmacy/infusion platforms such as WeInfuse, CareTend, Brightree, or similar preferred • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience preferred
