📋 Description

• Serve as the primary legal counsel and trusted advisor for the Windows & Doors business unit leadership team • Provide proactive legal guidance aligned with strategic objectives • Participate in strategic planning and provide legal risk assessments • Support mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships • Advise on corporate governance matters • Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements • Manage customer and vendor contract portfolios • Support sales teams with contract negotiations and deal structuring • Advise on pricing strategies, terms and conditions, and commercial risk management • Handle contract disputes and claims management • Ensure compliance with industry-specific regulations and antitrust policies • Monitor regulatory developments and assess business impact • Develop compliance policies and procedures • Deliver legal and compliance training • Support environmental, health, and safety legal requirements • Advise on trade compliance, tariffs, and import/export requirements • Advise on product development, launches, and lifecycle management • Support intellectual property protection • Review marketing materials and product communications • Handle product liability matters, construction defect litigation, and insurance warranty claims • Support real estate transactions, including facility leases and acquisitions • Advise on supply chain and logistics legal issues • Manage litigation and outside counsel • Manage the legal budget and outside counsel relationships

🎯 Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school • Licensed to practice law • Minimum of 10 years of legal experience • At least 4 years supporting a business unit preferred • Experience in manufacturing, industrial products, or construction/building materials industry preferred • Background in commercial law, contracts, litigation/claims, and regulatory compliance • Experience managing outside counsel relationships and legal budgets • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills • Ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical business guidance • Strong business judgment and understanding of business priorities • Ability to adapt to change and resolve conflict
