📋 Description

• Conduct tactical, high-volume review of advertising and promotional claims, product labeling, and marketing assets across web, email, social, paid media, and packaging for compliance with FDA, FTC, and state consumer protection requirements • Evaluate proposed claims for FDA labeling and promotion compliance and coordinate with Regulatory Affairs on claim substantiation, off-label risk, and FDA guidance • Build practical legal tools embedding claim substantiation and consumer protection compliance into the marketing development process • Serve as a key legal liaison to Regulatory Affairs, Clinical, Quality, Medical, Product, and Marketing on claim and compliance matters • Support legal review for clinical trials and research initiatives that inform marketing claims • Partner with cross-functional legal teams to monitor developments in FDA and FTC advertising and promotion, clinical research, and consumer protection law, translating them into practical guidance • Report to the Head Counsel, Product

🎯 Requirements

• Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school • Active bar membership in at least one US jurisdiction and eligibility to practice in-house in your state of residence • 5+ years of experience practicing at a law firm and/or in-house • Substantive experience reviewing advertising and promotional claims, ideally for FDA-regulated products • Working knowledge of FDA and FTC advertising and promotion requirements and claim substantiation standards • Ability to make sound, practical judgments quickly in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with cross-functional partners • Ability to balance legal risk with business objectives and offer creative, workable solutions • Detail-oriented, self-starter mindset and comfort navigating ambiguity and novel legal issues • Preferred: experience supporting clinical trials, research, or MLR review • Preferred: in-house experience at a healthcare, pharmaceutical, medical device, consumer health, or telehealth company • Preferred: familiarity with clinical data and real-world evidence as a basis for claim substantiation • Preferred: background in consumer goods, health tech, or digital product ecosystems • Preferred: experience advising on AI-powered products

• Annual base salary of $215,000 to $255,000 • Equity grant • Generous benefits
