📋 Description

• Design and oversee high-complexity metal building system projects • Apply structural engineering principles and company design standards to custom building conditions • Ensure designs comply with structural codes, customer requirements, manufacturing standards, and company standards • Provide professional oversight and engineering accountability for projects requiring signature and seal • Engage directly with customers to develop optimized building solutions • Manage project schedules, shifting priorities, and last-minute revisions to ensure on-time delivery • Exercise engineering judgment to balance efficiency, design conservatism, and public safety • Mentor and train junior and mid-level engineers • Identify design improvements and cost-reduction opportunities • Assume supervisory responsibilities when the Engineering Manager is absent

🎯 Requirements

• Licensed Professional Engineer; PE or SE licensure required • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in metal building design or structural engineering • Proven ability to design medium- to high-complexity metal buildings • Ability to provide sealed design documents where required • Proficiency in structural design and modeling software such as RISA, STAAD, AutoCAD, or equivalent • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment • Ability to maintain accuracy and completeness while improving productivity and reducing manufacturing and drafting costs • At least 18 years of age to apply
