📋 Description

• Teach and mentor students in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program • Complete Walden University training in online teaching, learning platforms, policies, procedures, academic integrity, and research supervision • Teach assigned courses through the Blackboard platform • Interact with students through online discussion boards • Be present in the online classroom at least 4 days per week • Respond to student questions within 48 hours • Verify the accuracy of student postings and submissions • Provide feedback and grades through Canvas • Publish availability through course syllabi, including regular online office hours or chats • Attend domestic residencies/pre-practica when requested and teach intensives and colloquia • Facilitate school and university-wide discussions • Complete dissertation chairing and service training when applicable • Serve on doctoral dissertations when eligible • Maintain licenses and certifications and stay current with research • Complete other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Earned doctorate in Counseling or Counselor Education from a CACREP accredited program at an accredited institution • Current state licensure as a mental health professional • Minimum of three years of experience teaching and mentoring Master's and/or Doctoral level students, including directing thesis/dissertation research preferred • Ability to provide leadership and mentoring for students in the research process • Strongly student-centered nature • Interest in establishing a community of mental health students • Ability to provide leadership and support in program assessment • Ability to address student questions and concerns about the program • Experience supervising students in field training experience • Commitment to diversity and social change • Ability to work with non-traditional students • Ability to participate in residencies/pre-practica, national faculty meetings, and work-related travel • Adequate computer, keyboard, pointing device, and monitor • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, zip software, and Adobe Acrobat • Reliable Internet access and alternate access if primary access is unavailable • Appropriately credentialed and possessing an earned degree in the discipline being taught • Ability to maintain required licenses and certifications • Ability to maintain currency with research
