📋 Description

• Implement the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching and service to the College, community, health system, and profession • Assume responsibility for all autonomous aspects of individual teaching loads • Evaluate students and provide documented feedback based on course objectives • Provide student remediation as required or needed • Correct and return homework, quizzes, tests, lab assignments, clinical paperwork, and other written work in a timely manner • Contribute to ongoing development, implementation, and evaluation of programs and the College • Keep the course coordinator informed of student and agency issues and concerns • Work with college administration, staff, and faculty to improve college operations and student satisfaction • Participate in the College Assessment Program, campus retention efforts, and departmental and campus policies • Serve as a professional role model for faculty, staff, and students • Utilize relationship skills for group problem solving, consensus building, and win-win negotiation • Comply with applicable regulatory rules and standards • Report to the dean or assistant dean, with direct oversight from a course coordinator • Teach NR293: Pharmacology for Nursing Practice, covering clinical drug therapy, pharmacological concepts, medication administration, dosage, adverse effects, nursing implications, and medication teaching

🎯 Requirements

• Master's Degree in Nursing is required • Unencumbered Illinois RN licensure required • Multi-State (Compact) licensure also preferred • Excellent communication skills with high level of initiative and prudent judgment • Genuine passion for nursing, education, and lifelong learning • Exceptional subject matter expertise in the field of instruction • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Eagerness to serve students and colleagues with passion, respect and care • Sense of responsibility and purpose • Desire to enrich colleagues, students, and the broader community
