📋 Description

• Teach undergraduate and graduate students in practitioner-focused courses • Facilitate student learning in accordance with DeVry University requirements • Develop course syllabi and lesson plans • Organize, prepare, revise, and update course materials • Use online technologies and course-related software, including websites, email, and online discussions • Model effective oral and written communication • Publish course objectives, assignment and examination dates, and evaluation weightings • Ensure exam content aligns with course objectives • Prepare and grade exams consistently and fairly • Provide timely feedback to students • Integrate responsible AI technologies into teaching and learning • Recognize, evaluate, and address appropriate and inappropriate student use of AI tools • Complete other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s degree in a healthcare-related field from a regionally accredited institution or equivalent • Outpatient coding experience required • Current industry experience in a healthcare setting • Current industry-related certification (CCS) • Minimum of 5 years of working knowledge of healthcare operations • Minimum of 5 years of recent in-field outpatient coding experience • Knowledge of electronic health/medical records • Knowledge of IT systems and functions within healthcare • Knowledge of health insurance and reimbursement • Knowledge of health privacy and ethics • Knowledge of reimbursement methodologies and billing functions • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings • Commitment to ongoing professional development in instructional technology, digital literacy, and responsible AI practices
